Landscape
At Duncan Designs, we believe in crafting exterior spaces that echo the soul of the home—balanced, timeless, and thoughtfully orchestrated. This landscape is a perfect reflection of this ethos, where vibrant planting beds, sculpted greenery, and architectural accents blend seamlessly into the home’s natural and structural rhythm.
Front Entry Garden: A Structured Welcome with Soft Color Play Anchoring the entryway is a beautifully curated front garden layered with lush hostas, variegated grasses, and neatly trimmed boxwoods. A canopying shade tree with lichen-covered bark brings a sense of permanence, while cheerful drifts of impatiens in coral, hot pink, and red provide playful pops of color throughout. The design is organized yet inviting—its curved flow guiding the eye naturally to the welcoming front steps.
Balcony Flower Boxes: twin wrought-iron flower boxes bring vertical interest and seasonal vibrancy. Filled with upright purple salvia, vivid magenta dianthus, and trailing white bacopa, the arrangement feels both structured and spirited—elevating the home’s curb appeal with just the right amount of boldness.
Rear Garden: Movement, Texture, and Glow
Along the curved walkway, a layered perennial border delivers continuous visual interest. The mature hydrangea shrubs form a leafy, structural backdrop. In front, soft clouds of lavender-hued catmint (Nepeta) sway gently, bringing movement and texture. Tucked between the purple mounds, tidy mounds of green foliage await their seasonal bloom, offering a sense of anticipation and rhythm.
Edging the walkway, a lively mix of begonias and dianthus in warm pinks and corals accentuate the bed’s arc, while black path lights offer a subtle glow at dusk—blending beauty and function with ease.
